The HEMI V8 Is Back for 2026

After the lineup shifted to six-cylinder engines for 2025, Ram returned the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with eTorque for 2026 at 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Orders opened in June 2025 and 10,000 landed in the first 24 hours.

Towing and Payload

Properly equipped, the 2026 Ram 1500 tows up to 11,610 pounds and carries up to 2,360 pounds of payload.^§ Max towing takes the standard-output Hurricane in a Quad Cab 4x2 with the 6-foot-4 bed and the Trailer-Tow Group; max payload comes on the Pentastar V6. The returning HEMI V8 tows up to 11,320 pounds. Available Active-Level™ Four Corner Air Suspension levels the truck under load when you hook up.
